Why blow 250 bucks on a Wii when you can get this rare and obscure game for Mac OS 7.5 on eBay instead... and it's not even the mythical Japanese Playstation remake of The Journeyman Project! There's even a 3 month payment plan.
What a bargain!
Keeping that classic adventure game series alive

$250 and you don't even get the awesome box!
I remember getting my copy way back when eBayer "stocks4me" was offering them for $6 a pop... then the resurging interest in the series started to gain a lot more steam and I guess vendors wised up to the increase in demand.
As to the "mythical Japanese Playstation" version, how mythical is it, really? Was it actually released in Japan (however limited a release it may have been)? What was its SLPS number-- mention the title to PSX collectors and I may as well be speaking gibberish. I can't track it down at any trading posts nor can I find record of it existing-- mythical indeed! :)
I finally found proof of it! On YouTube in fact! There's a video of the Japanese opening cutscene leading into the menu. Very interesting!
Clicky!
(Hi blitter/Tommy, it's been a while :P)
Oh I have no doubt it was *created*... I'm wondering if it was released and if there's any remote possibility of getting my grubby paws on one. ;-)
The truly mythical PlayStation version would have to be the US version that was delivered to Acclaim but never shipped. Wouldn't that have been a delight to have on a PSOne... portable Journeyman!
We do have a golden master of this game backed up along with a memory card full of saved games. This reminds me: Playstation Museum was curious to check this out to see what the SLUS/SLPS number was because I do recall Sony assigning such a number to the project. Does anyone know where I can look on the disc (or the memory card) for this? I don't have a memory card reader other than a standalone Net Yaroze without link cables, so chime in if you know of a pathway to find out.
On most PSX discs, it should be printed on the disc label, located either near the ESRB rating or the copyright info. Barring that, if I recall correctly the disc itself is named with its SLUS/SLPS number if you read it on a PC.
Well, if you have the master... any chance of a new release? ;)
Unlike the PC, Playstation is a closed platform and official releases are controlled by Sony. Since the physical PS1 has been deprecated, the last option for games from that era is Playstation Online. Here's where it becomes a chicken and egg predicament: Sony favors filling its online library with hits and without known sales records of Pegasus Prime in North America for the PS1, convincing them to sell it may be a challenge.
Even if it's deprecated to release on the PS1, is there any chance of it?
$249.99? That's a bit much. I got mine for about $5.99 if I remember correctly (don't all shoot me at once).
Was there an English version of Gundam or are the voices all dubbed?
Well thank God, they lowered the price... Now only: $237.99 + $5.99 shipping.
I think that they should put The Journeyman Project on the Iphone and Ipod Touch. Myst is already on there. Why not this game?
This is the one game in the world that most needs a re-release.
@Tommy...
Instead of a straight re-release of the official port, is there any chance of the game being completely re-coded for... maybe... Dreamcast??? The ReviveDC project is VERY interested in getting any games they can to, as the title says, revive the life of the Dreamcast :) something to think about, maybe you can contact them with ideas :D I know I would die for a release of this game I could actually play and own!
